Economic Flash Mobs

One idea has been percolating within me for a while is what I call an economic flash mob. Imagine a large group of connected people who make syncronized purchasing descisions thereby punishing or helping companies that produce sustainable and socially responsible products.

The origin of the Flash Mob concept relates to mobs of people who coordinate over the internet and congregating together for no particular reason. Here's the first report of one.

i think you might have actually just taken "boycott" and made it a web2.0 buzzword.

if it was 1998, it might be "un-sticky C2B synergy".
